THE RULES AND STANDARDS IN PURSUANCE OF OUR PURPOSE.
To attain and sustain irreversible excellence in the fold of unity and collective participation on the platform of Ukelle Renaissance, all members "must" observe and comply with certain basic rules in line with the group's standards and strength of vision. Of course, we take deeply into consideration that we exist on the platform of a social media, we recognize the fact that we are a collection of personalities from different backgrounds and orientations, we also acknowledge that we all have a sense of belonging in the group, and as such, freedom of expression of opinions is allowed. However, it is our considered position to state here clearly that; while expression of opinion is free, one must qualify for such expression. To qualify is to NOT hurt the person to whom your opinion or comment is addressed. Below are some rules we must observe in our moderation and participation on the platform of Ukelle Renaissance:
1). All principal posts must be written without the use of self-styled abbreviations and syntactic contractions such as dat'z y(that's why), u gonna kn me beta sn (you are going to know me better soon etc. However, standard abbreviations with universal recognition are allowed such as; E.g, etc, P.O.Box, Dr, Ph.D. etc. This measure is to allow for clarity and easy understanding by all participants anywhere in the world.
2). The post must convey a message that strengthens our collective existence and aspirations.
3). Multiple posts on the same topic at the same time are strongly advised against. However, all contributions, observations, reservations or reactions on a related topic are permitted in comments under the principal post.
4). The use of derogatory remarks such as insults against any member of the group is highly PROHIBITED. Defaulters will be sanctioned by way of deletion of their comments and subsequent removal from the entire platform.
5). No post of pornography is allowed. Defaulters will be blocked from accessing the platform.
6). Always listen and respond to one another with utmost politeness.
7). Address the issue raised, and never attack the person making the post.
8). Diverse opinions on topical issues are welcome, but such opinions must be constructive and issue based.
9). Focus on the solution, not the problem.
10). Tolerate one another on the basis of disagreeing to agree.
11). All discussions and information on main posts and follow-up comments must be geared towards the development of Ukelle Nation.
12). Membership of this group is strictly Ukelle citizens. However, friends and lovers of Ukelle Nation are Permitted into the group provided
they so will to do.
13). False allegation, inauthentic information and misuse of information with regards to developments in Ukelle Community are strongly not permitted.
14). All participants on the platform must relate with one another as members of the same family. Jovial remarks are also permitted in our conversations.
15). In the event of an offense by anyone, rather than escalate it, kindly draw the attention of the Admin for appropriate action.
16). Uploading of all forms of frivolous photographs and indecent images without any bearing on the collective interest of Group is strongly advised against, except on special occasions of such members.
17). No one is allowed to cast aspersions on anyone's character. This includes Ukelle Leaders and the Led.
Beloved family, as much as we do not intend to clip your liberty of robust participation in the group, we will also not allow for excessive loose-ends where your dignity and that of the group will be altered. In the light of this, these rules remain binding on all members of the group whom we cherish so much.
